QPR striker Charlie Austin says Phil Jagielka is the best defender he has come up against in the Premier League.
In his first season in England's top flight, Austin has conquered some of the very best centre-backs on his way to 17 goals for the R's but he felt he met his match when taking on Everton captain Jagielka.
"After we played against Chelsea the first time, I said (John) Terry and Gary Cahill were the best defenders I'd faced," Austin said in an interview for the Daily Mail.
"However, when we played Everton at home I felt for me Phil Jagielka was the best centre-half I've come up against this season. He was big, powerful, strong."
