QPR must go higher to sign Guingamp midfielder Younousse Sankhare.
The London Evening Standard says Rs boss Harry Redknapp has made a £1.5m offer for Sankhare, who helped Guingamp win the French Cup last season.
The highly rated 24-year-old is a graduate of Paris St Germain's academy and is a former France Under-21 international.
Guingamp are believed to have rejected QPR's initial offer and do not want to cash in on their prize asset but QPR are expected to return with a higher bid.
