Championship leaders QPR are hoping defender Danny Shittu returns to Loftus Road, four-and-a-half-years after he left the club for Watford.

The 30-year old Nigerian, who is currently on a short-term deal with Millwall after being released by Bolton, is a player that Neil Warnock wants to help his side's promotion push.

Shittu is available on a free transfer and would add plenty of experience and know-how to the Rangers defence. He made close to 170 league appearances for the club between 2002 and 2006.
