QPR defender Clint Hill hailed the goalscoring debut of Loic Remy for their draw with West Ham United.
The 26-year-old striker joined from Marseille on Wednesday for a club record £8million, and started to pay back that investment with a well-taken opening goal at Upton Park.
Hill reflected: "It was brilliant to see him take that chance.
"If we can keep the ball and create a few more chances for him he will go on and be a great signing for us.
"Hopefully he can kickstart our campaign.
"We've had a terrible season, that's the blunt truth. To find ourselves only four points behind shows other teams are struggling in this league."
