League One outfit Gillingham have signed Queens Park Rangers defender Max Ehmer on loan until 3 January. The 22-year-old German centre-back has previously had loan spells at Yeovil Town, Preston, Stevenage and Carlisle United.

"He has played in over 80 matches and has good experience at this level," Gills boss Peter Taylor said.

"He's a good player, a strong defender and can play in a couple of other positions too."
