QPR and Crystal Palace are chasing Norwich City striker Gary Hooper.
The London Evening Standard says Rs boss Harry Redknapp tried to sign Hooper from Celtic last summer, only for the player to opt for Norwich, who were then in the Premier League.
The tables have since turned, with QPR promoted to the top flight last season as Norwich dropped into the Championship. Redknapp is keen to improve his options in attack, especially as Loic Remy could still leave before the transfer window closes.
But QPR will face competition from Palace now Neil Warnock has arrived as manager. Warnock admires Hooper, who has not played this season because of a calf injury, and will be keen to make his move before the transfer window closes.
