QPR intend to sign Toronto FC striker Jermain Defoe in January.
The London Evening Standard says QPR are confident they can sign former Tottenham striker Defoe from MLS side Toronto having seen a deal fall through in the final hours of deadline day.
The 31-year-old is keen on a return to English football and a welcome reunion with his former Spurs, West Ham and Portsmouth manager.
Redknapp currently has Charlie Austin, Eduardo Vargas and Play-off Final hero Bobby Zamora to choose from up front.
