Real Madrid No2 Paul Clement is QPR chairman Tony Fernandes' top managerial target.
The Telegraph says sources close to QPR insist as soon as Harry Redknapp quit that former Chelsea coach Clement would be the top choice of Fernandes, but he will not take a job before the end of the season.
That leaves the possibility of QPR leaving Chris Ramsey in charge until the end of the season with Clement then taking over.
Fernandes tweeted last night: "Think I have got my dream manager. Not what anyone thinks. Take a while. Still a bit to go but I'm very happy. Press all wrong."
