QPR boss Harry Redknapp admits he sees Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe as a long-term transfer target.
QPR are ready to go back for Defoe - if they get promotion to the Premier League.
Redknapp said: "We couldn't really afford him in the summer as a Championship club. If we were in the Premier League next year then maybe it will be something worth looking at."
