QPR boss Redknapp keen on ex-Chelsea, Man City defender Ben Haim

Harry Redknapp is running the rule over Israeli defender Tal Ben Haim in the hope of adding him to his squad.

The 30-year old worked closely with Redknapp when the pair were at Portsmouth and now that Ben Haim is a free agent, the R's boss is keen to watch him closely ahead of a potential deal.

"I am having a look at him, he's a good defender, he's a good lad and has a great attitude," Redknapp confirmed to reporters on Friday.

"He looks very fit and I have let him come in and train, we will just see where we go in the next couple of weeks."

Ben Haim kicked off his career with Maccabi Tel Aviv back in 2001 and has since played for Bolton, Chelsea, Manchester City, Sunderland and West Ham United.
