QPR boss Harry Redknapp is chasing Newcastle United striker Demba Ba.

The Telegraph says a proven striker is among Redknapp's priorities, with Nicolas Anelka, who is in talks to leave Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua, and Newcastle United striker Demba Ba among the prospective targets.

Darren Bent and Joe Cole, who have been out of favour at Aston Villa and Liverpool respectively, are other potential targets. The overall budget is expected to be in the region of £10 million.
