QPR boss Harry Redknapp says Jay Bothroyd can still have a career at Loftus Road.

Bothroyd returned to Loftus Road this week after a spell out on loan at Sheffield Wednesday under his old Cardiff City pal Dave Jones.

"We all know he's got ability," Redknapp told the Fulham Chronicle. "He went to Sheffield Wednesday and it hasn't gone very well for him. Dave Jones knew him from Cardiff and you'd have thought it would go well but he's back here now and it's up to him - work hard and have a go - he's got the ability there's no doubt."
