QPR boss Harry Redknapp admits he feared humiliation at Manchester United yesterday.
Redknapp tightened up his system in the second-half after going into the break three goals down.
"Obviously at 3-0 down we weren't silly enough to think we can come out, open up and win 4-3, but you don't want to get beat by six or seven because it's demoralising to do that.
"We could have got a goal back at 3-0 when Niko (Kranjcar) had a great shot the keeper saved with his legs, which could have changed attitudes, but it's a difficult place to come."
