QPR boss Ramsey pleased with star pairing Phillips and Austin

QPR boss Chris Ramsey was delighted with his star pair of Charlie Austin and Matty Phillips as the duo orchestrated the comeback win against Wolves on Wednesday.

The R's were trailing 2-0 within the first 24 minutes before a first-half goal from Austin and a second-half brace from Phillips helped the London club grab all three points at the Molineux.

Ramsey suggested in his post-match conference that the Premier League targets, particularly Phillips, had added value to their price tags with their performances.

"Matty is a match-winner on his day and he is someone who will always need marking," he said.

"I'm really hoping we will have him but no one can tell, people make knee-jerk reactions and spend money they don't have.

"I hope that will add another zero.

"I thought we showed a lot of resilience after we were quite poor in the first 20 minutes, we were pleased we kept it down to two.

"I am very pleased with the respect Matt and Charlie have shown the club, they have been very professional in the way they have conducted themselves.

"Charlie is fitter now than the opening day and his hold-up play has answered a few questions people have."
