QPR have failed in their appeal for the red card received by Shaun Derry during the weekend's clash with Manchester United.
The veteran midfielder was questionably sent off for placing his hand on the back of Ashley Young in the 14th minute of his side's 2-0 loss at Old Trafford on Sunday.
United were awarded a penalty for Derry's actions with referee Lee Mason having no hesitation in producing a red card for which the R's lodged an appeal for wrongful dismissal.
But the Football Association have rejected the claim meaning Derry will serve a one-match ban forcing him out of tomorrow night's meeting with Swansea City.
"Derry was dismissed for denying a goalscoring opportunity in the Premier League match against Manchester United on Sunday 8 April 2012.""Queens Park Rangers midfielder Shaun Derry will serve a one-match suspension with immediate effect after his claim of wrongful dismissal was rejected by a Regulatory Commission today [Tuesday 10 April]," read a FA statement.
