Tony Pulis wants Tom Ince to become a permanent member of his Crystal Palace squad.
The 22-year old winger joined the Eagles on loan from Blackpool for the remainder of the season on deadline day and now Pulis is eager to tie him down to a less temporary deal if the south Londoners remain in the top flight.
"We hope he helps us stay in the Premier League," Pulis said.
"We hope then that over the next couple of months that we can convince him to stay at the football club.
"He's a very, very talented young player and he's not only a good player but he scores goals.
"He comes off the line, he can play it in behind, he's an intelligent player who can make runs and do things."
He added: "Ince is at a good age, I think he's played almost 200 league games at such a young age, so he needs to step up now to test himself.
"We're convinced that he'll cope with it."
