Team GB coach Stuart Pearce won't be selecting Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere in his final squad.

The Mirror says Pearce has finally accepted Arsenal's stance that Wilshere must be given the summer to recover from his injuries.

It is a major U-turn and climbdown from Pearce, who included Wilshere in his 80-man list. Little over a month ago, Pearce was still insisting that manager Arsene Wenger's opinion would not sway his decision and even suggesting he could take legal action to secure Wilshere's services.
