PSV Eindhoven whizkid Dirk Marcellis is wanted by Everton.
The News of the World says the Dutch defender, 20, replaced Alex when he left Eindhoven to join Chelsea in 2007.
Goodison Park boss David Moyes is impressed by his versatility, with Marcellis able to play anywhere across the back.
