PSV Eindhoven chief Marcel Brands says they're proud Memphis Depay is joining Manchester United. It was confirmed this morning by United that terms had been agreed for the Dutch youngster.

"We are very proud of this upcoming transfer, which came thanks to huge momentum," declared Brands.

"Memphis has gone through all the teams of PSV, starting with the youth team and has played an important part in the national title this year.

"He's a wonderful exponent of our training and will make a nice transfer to a magnificent club in a beautiful competition.

"Regarding our team, we lose obviously a fantastic player, who is of great value to the team. But PSV grants him this wonderful step forward."
