Louis van Gaal brought the hammer down on PSV Eindhoven in negotiations this week for Memphis Depay.Manchester United announced this morning that terms with PSV had been agreed for the Holland international.
AD says Van Gaal insisted PSV make up their mind after making contact on Tuesday.
The United manager was aware of competition from Liverpool and talks with PSG - which kicked him into action. Van Gaal told United representatives to make PSV a final offer yesterday.
The Dutchman didn't want things to drag out and the deal was closed inside 28 hours between the first contact from LVG and PSV accepting United's offer last night. PSG had been negotiations when Van Gaal made his play.
Depay will go to United for a fee rising to €31 million - and the deal includes a sell-on percentage for PSV.
