Laurent Blanc was delighted with the way his Paris Saint-Germain team performed at Chelsea on Wednesday night.
The French giants progressed to the Champions League quarter-finals courtesy of a 2-1 second leg at Stamford Bridge, advancing past the Blues 4-2 on aggregate.
Goals from Adrian Rabiot and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, either side of Diego Costa's first-half equaliser, saw PSG into the final eight of Europe's elite in what was an easier night than expected for Blanc.
"We were preparing for a tough match and we were right to do so," Blanc said.
"We didn't necessarily think we were able to put in such a good performance away from home, so that is very pleasing.
"We controlled the game and that allowed us to have an easier night than we perhaps expected to."
