PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti is convinced new signing David Beckham can make an impact - at 38 years of age.
Having played and managed at AC Milan, where the likes of Alessandro Costacurta and Paolo Maldini played into their 40s, Ancelotti has a different perspective on the issue of age, the usual factor cited as to Beckham's ability - or otherwise - to compete at this level.
"I'm very happy to have him here," said the Italian. "He's a fantastic professional and will help the team this season. About the age, I remember that Paolo Maldini won the Champions League in 2007 at the age of 38. This means that when you are professional, you are forever young."
