Roberto Martinez was over the moon for his Everton side after they secured qualification to the Europa League knockout stage on Thursday night.
The Toffees defeated Wolfsburg 2-0 at the Volkswagen Arena to wrap up top spot in Group H and book their spot in the Round of 32 upon their return to European football.
Martinez reserved special praise for his defenders and goalkeeper who managed to deny the Germans on their own soil while also speaking highly of the Everton supporters who again backed their beloved team.
"It was a perfect away performance. Our counter-attacks were lethal and I thought we were outstanding," said Martinez after seeing Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas score either side of the break.
"Big credit must also go to the back five because keeping a clean sheet here is a fantastic achievement."
He added: "The celebrations were incredible - there were Evertonians everywhere! We've had phenomenal support again."
Everton complete their group stage obligations with a home fixture against Russian side Kuban Krasnodar on December 11 before tackling the knockout phase of Europe's second tier club competition.
