Everton's Tom Cannon is being linked with a move to Preston North End on loan.

The forward is one who wants to move on from the Goodison Park club, at least temporarily.

Cannon wants to play regularly this season and is happy to drop down a division to do so.

"We definitely need a striker," stressed Preston North End boss Ryan Lowe, via the Lancashire Post.

"And depending on whether it's an attacking wing-back, right or left, then another attacking player would suit depending on who we can get.

"If we can get two more attacking players that will make me happy. We've got other targets we're speaking too, so hopefully we can get one or two in the building that we want."
