Preston have swooped for Dundee United goalkeeper Grzegorz Szamotulski on a free transfer.
The 31-year-old has signed a six-month contract at Deepdale after his short-term deal with Scottish Premier League side Dundee United expired and provides back-up for Andy Lonergan, with Wayne Henderson still sidelined.
He told the club's official website: "I am very happy to have signed the contract. I know Preston North End are a good club in the Championship and I am happy that this club has come in for me.
"I want to play as well as possible and help the club to maintain a healthy position in the Championship and show the fans what we can do."
Chairman Derek Shaw added: "He's one we have tried to bring in over the last couple of weeks but we've finally got it done. We've had a little bit of competition from other clubs in the Championship but we are delighted to have got it done on Wednesday night."
