Preston North End are eyeing Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden.

Hayden had been on-loan with Standard Liege, though the deal was terminated by the Belgians.

He is now expected to leave for a new loan and the Lancashire Evening Telegraph says Preston are keen.

Deepdale boss Ryan Lowe has made room this week by sending Calvin Ramsay back to parent club Liverpool.

Hayden made 11 appearances with Standard this season.
