Preston North End boss Phil Brown is confident there's now row with Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Manchester United boss, dismayed at son Darren's dismissal, reacted by bringing back Ritchie de Laet, Josh King and Matty James to Old Trafford.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis also took back on-loan Michael Tonge and Danny Pugh, adding to Brown's problems.
He told the People: "I don't blame Sir Alex or Tony at all.
"Of course, it would have been nice to have the players but they were gone before I arrived so I know it was nothing personal.
"I don't think my relationship with Sir Alex or Tony has been affected.
"They didn't know I was coming to Preston so it was nothing against me. They loaned those players to Preston and another management regime, so I can understand their decision.
"I saw Sir Alex at Nat Lofthouse's funeral and I have spoken and texted him so I am sure there is no problem.
"I preferred to look on the positive side and it gave me the chance to bring in four or five of my own loans."
