PREMIER LEAGUE: Villa upset Chelsea party with two late goals

Aston Villa have come from behind to cause an upset at Chelsea with a 3-1 victory which sees them move to ninth on the table.

The Blues have now not won in four Premier League outings as the pressure starts to mount on manager Andre Villas-Boas with the club falling to fifth behind London rivals Arsenal who edged QPR 1-0 today.

Didier Drogba scored his 150th Chelsea goal in the 23rd minute when he converted the penalty he won when Richard Dun ne brought him down in the area. The Ivorian's spot-kick was good enough to beat Brad Guzan to bring up a well-deserved milestone.

Five minutes later, Villa were back on level terms when Stephen Ireland followed up his initial effort which deflected back off John Terry for him to finish from close range for his first goal since November 2009 and first for the club.

Chelsea substitute Fernando Torres crashed his long range attempt into the crossbar in the 63rd minute as the Blues were dominating but Villa stole the lead seven minutes from time when captain Stiliyan Petrov produced a composed finish from Ciaran Clark's creative pass.

Just as it couldn't get any worse for Chelsea, Ireland made an interception in midfield before advancing into the area to dish it off for Darren Bent who knocked it past Petr Cech to give Alex McLeish a perfect end to 2011.
