Contract rebel Nathaniel Clyne is being warned by Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman: "Sometimes the grass is not greener". The 20 year old full-back will be out of contract next season and has yet to agree new terms amid speculation he could move to the Premier League in January.
"I understand that Nathaniel has advisers who advise him differently but he's got to stand on his own two feet and make the decision himself, and hopefully he will do that.
"I do think the kid's heart is at this club and I think you can see him progressing. Sometimes the grass is not greener on the other side, hopefully he will make that call and make us all happy." "The last time we spoke to Nathaniel a few months ago we put an offer to him that doesn't put the club under any financial strain and we hope he takes up that contract and continues his progression into becoming a wonderful young player," said Freedman.
