Stoke City and Swansea City played out a 1-1 draw at the Britannia Stadium on Wednesday night.
Strong winds put the game in danger of being postponed but a delayed kick-off was the final call for a match which tested all players on the pitch.
Peter Crouch put the Potters ahead in the 17th minute when he kindly received a rebound off the post from Peter Odemwingie's effort to slot home.
As usual, Swansea enjoyed the lion's share of possession but it took them until the 52nd minute to equalise courtesy of Chico Flores who neatly headed home Pablo Hernandez's cross.
Stoke captain Ryan Shawcross came to the rescue for the home side when he cleared Wilfried Bony's effort off the line to allow both sides a share of the points in a scrappy affair.
Garry Monk's Swansea, who beat Cardiff City in the Welsh derby on the weekend, moved back to 10th on the table while Mark Hughes' Stoke remained 14th but moved three points clear of the relegation zone.
