PREMIER LEAGUE: Stoke come from behind to take down Wolves

Stoke City have recorded their fourth Premier League win on the trot with a 2-1 come-from-behind result over Wolves at The Molineux.

The Potters fell behind when Jonathan Woodgate brought down Stephen Ward inside the area with referee Anthony Taylor pointing to the spot in the 17th minute. Stephen Hunt stepped up and calmly slotted home past Thomas Sorensen who had selected the correct way but could not keep out the spot kick.

But luck fell thee way of the visitors just before the hour-mark when Robert Huth firmly struck a short free-kick from distance with the ball taking a wicked deflection off Kevin Doyle in the wall and finding its way past Wayne Hennessey for the leveler.

As plucky as ever, the Potters continued to fight for every inch against Mick McCarthy's Wolves outfit and their persistence paid off when Peter Crouch headed home Matthew Etherington's cross from his knees at the back post with 20 minutes remaining.

Tony Pulis' charges managed to see off the remainder of the match with the scoreline stuck at 2-1 which lifts them to eighth on the table as Wolves remain precariously placed just outside the drop zone.
