Premier League officials send Blackpool letter asking for team change explanation

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is on a collision course with the Premier League after they sent him a letter asking him to explain recent team changes.

Holloway made 10 changes to his side which lost 3-2 to Aston Villa last Wednesday after they drew 2-2 with Everton on the Saturday.

The Seasiders boss then made a full overhaul for the team that took on West Ham United and drew 0-0 on the weekend just passed.

His actions have been questioned by the league who have given the club seven days to reply but it seems that the club will be given a punishment otherwise the Premier League will be setting a dangerous precedent.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy was hit with a fine for making a high number of changes to his line-up against Manchester United last season so if Holloway and Blackpool go unpunished, it could cause a ruckus within the ranks.

Holloway has threatened to quit if the club is fined for his selections.
