Premier League newcomers Watford and AFC Bournemouth have joined the race to sign Micah Richards.

The Express reports that the Hornets and the Cherries are showing significant interest in Manchester City defender Richards who is on a season-long loan at Fiorentina.

The 26-year old is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season and it is expected that he will move on during the summer transfer window.

Sunderland are keen on the right-back while the likes of Tottenham, West Ham United, Aston Villa and Newcastle United have been credited with an interest.

Now it seems as though Watford and Bournemouth have identified Richards as a potential target as they both prepare for life in England's top flight.
