Hamilton defender Jamie Hamilton is attracting big Premier League interest.

The Daily Mail says Burnley and Brighton are considering a move for Scotland's rising star Hamilton.

The 17-year-old defender has been playing in the Scottish Premiership this season having broken into Hamilton Academical's first team.

A stylish, ball-playing centre back, Hamilton first came to prominence captaining Scotland's U17 side and has since graduated to the U19 squad, picking up five caps and scoring once.

His composed displays have attracted attention from a number of English clubs including Aston Villa, Everton and Wolves who have regularly sent scouts to monitor his progress.

However, Burnley and Brighton are the sides weighing up whether to bid next month with Academical looking for around £1.5million.
