PREMIER LEAGUE: Blackpool show Dalglish scale of Liverpool task

Blackpool came from behind to defeat Liverpool 2-1 at Bloomfield Road for their first double over the Reds since 1947 and ruin Kenny Dalglish's first game in charge. Against a side with the worst home record in the Premier LeagueLiverpool had the perfect start taking an early lead through Fernando Torres.

But the visitor's have only won once away this campaign and three out of their last four games on the road had ended in defeat so it was no shock when the Seasiders quickly levelled.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher taking advantage of some woeful Reds defending to restore parity after Liverpool looked like gaining a stranglehold on the game.

Torres had a couple of good chances as the game progressed but the Tangerines are a resilient team and began to look dangerous on the break.

Their winner duly arrived as again Liverpool failed to defend correctly and this time DJ Campbell took full advantage to head home.

Liverpool remain four points from the relegation places whilst Blackpool are up to ninth and new boss Dalglish after 20 years out of the Reds hot-seat now knows the scale of the task ahead of him.
