Following the appointment of former Tottenham Hotspur executive Paul Barber as Vancouver Whitecaps' CEO, the potential for a relationship between the clubs has grown enormously.

Barber will remain as a non-executive director of the English Premier League club indicating that he will still have a bit to do with the Londoners and the chance of some sort of partnership is definitely on the cards.

Spurs currently have a formal relationship with MLS outfit San Jose Earthquakes but the announcement of Barber gives the Whitecaps a strong chance of entering a similar partnership.

The man in question told The Province that it was too early to tell what would eventuate but sounded positive that something could potentially grow moving forward.
