Portsmouth's Tiago deal threatened by red-tape

Portsmouth's interest in Estrela da Amadora midfielder Tiago Gomes could be scuppered by red-tape.

The Mirror says Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp faces a Carlos Tevez-style ownership wrangle over his pursuit of £2million Portuguese ace Tiago.

Redknapp has held talks with Estrela da Amadora about a January move.

But Estrela own only half of his contract, with the other half owned by businessman Sergio Ferro. Under League rules clubs cannot sign players with third-party ownership.
