Portsmouth are eyeing West Bromwich Albion striker Simon Cox.

The Sun says Pompey boss Appleton will swoop if he can free up cash from player sales after Cox he is frustrated by a lack of first-team chances.

Cox said: "A move might be something I have to look at during the Christmas period. I'm never happy when I'm not playing."
