Portsmouth sound out Spurs for Kaboul

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has approached Tottenham over their French flop Younes Kaboul, according to the latest reports.

Redknapp has a proud reputation for resurrecting the careers of old and/or under-performing players and the former France Under-21 international certainly fits into the latter category.

The 22-year-old, who has failed to settle at Spurs following his £7 million move from Auxerre last summer, put his already uncertain future at the club in further doubt after publicly criticising manager Juande Ramos.

"Portsmouth have called Tottenham. Now we are waiting for Tottenham to respond," Kaboul's agent Rudy Raba told Setanta Sports.
