Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is eyeing Southampton winger Nathan Dyer.
Ex-Saints boss Redknapp has already wound up his old club by signing England Under-21 defender Martin Cranie in the summer.
Pompey No2 Adams admitted: "I was at their game against West Brom but I wasn't watching Andrew Surman.
"I quite like the look of Nathan Dyer and he's one we've been looking at for a while. He's a good, young player.
"When Harry says 'We need somebody on the right, do you know anyone?', I have to come up with options.
"At the moment I'm looking all over the place, I'm always looking. But yes, we've been watching Dyer."
Dyer is the latest youngster to emerge at St Mary's after Theo Walcott and Gareth Bale signed for Arsenal and Tottenham respectively.
