Portsmouth making use of oxygen-chamber

Portsmouth's walking wounded are set to be given the oxygen-chamber treatment in their race against time to make the FA Cup semi-final.

The state-of-the-art process speeds up healing of injuries by supplying 100 per cent oxygen instead of the 21 per cent found in normal air.

And it is poised to be used to quicken the recovery of Wigan injury victims Hermann Hreidarsson and John Utaka.

The technique has already been used by David Beckham, Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard.

Now Pompey's injured duo are pencilled in to follow suit with a visit to Royal Hospital Haslar in Gosport in the build-up to Saturday's Wembley clash.
