Portsmouth have play-off ambitions

Portsmouth boss Steve Cotterill has his sights set on the play-offs - barely a month after they were rock-bottom of the Championship table. Pompey have collected 19 points from a possible 21 following Saturday's 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.

Cotterill said: "That win thrusts us right in there. We're a point off the play-offs and proud of our run. We're aiming for the top six.

"It's a good run, our best for eight seasons I've been told. It's important to keep it up. Everyone here at Pompey is enjoying themselves and it's about time.

"The players have been magnificent and the fans are up for it. I couldn't be happier at a club."
