Portsmouth are moving for released Southampton striker David Connolly.
He is a free agent and has been without a club since helping Pompey's neighbours and rivals into the Premier League last May.
Former Wolves, Feyenoord, Wigan and Sunderland forward Connolly has scored 115 goals since his Watford debut in 1994.
