Portsmouth have confirmed Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will have minders for his return to Fratton Park this weekend.
Reports had suggested that the security level will be manned by SAS troops which Tottenham officials have denied. However security will still be tight considering former Portsmouth players Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Niko Kranjcar will all make the trip.
Portsmouth director of communications Gary Double told the Telegraph: "There have been discussions between the two clubs already and there will be more in the next few days, but we understand Tottenham are making their own arrangements.
"It is common practice now for clubs to travel with their own stewards, more often in respect of monitoring away fans than the team and manager, and this will be no different.
"Although one or two feelings may run high, our supporters have an excellent record of behaviour at home games and we do not expect them to cross any boundaries on Saturday."
