Portsmouth are keen on Stoke City fullback Ryan Shotton.
The Sentinel says Shotton is back on Portsmouth's radar after they failed to land him on loan earlier in the season.
The 22-year-old defender, who is also attracting attention from Hull City and Barnsley, has long been on the hit-list of Pompey boss Steve Cotterill.
The former Stoke manager has already done recent business with City to secure the services of Dave Kitson, Liam Lawrence, Carl Dickinson and Ibrahima Sonko.
Pompey have already reached the limit of two loan players from the same club (Dickinson and Sonko) but Shotton would count as an "emergency" loan outside the transfer windows and therefore slip through a loophole.
