Portsmouth boss Hart keen adulates Everton

Portsmouth boss Paul Hart believes the club can move forward if they follow the club model of this weekend;s opponents Everton.

Hart says the way Everton have climbed the table with a limited budget makes them an enviable entity outside of the bigger, richer clubs in England.

"For a lot of clubs outside the top four or five Everton's model is the one to follow," Hart said.

"They have operated on limited budgets for the entire time David has been there but their skills and their stubbornness is the example.

"He must be one of the top three managers in the country. He's got his teams in the top five, six and seven regularly for the last five or six years on a limited budget and with players who some other people have had a look at and turned from.

"It's a little bit of that consistency that we're hoping for too. It's not very pretty but I've got no shame in that. We've got a job to do and we're trying to do it."
