Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has revealed Derby County want to sign David Nugent.

"Derby do want to sign David Nugent, I think that is a fairly known fact," Redknapp told the club's official website.

"But he's only just joined us and I'm happy to keep him here.

"He's a young player and obviously he wants to play but at the moment Kanu's playing absolutely brilliant, Utaka's a threat and Benjani's done well, so David's going to have to be patient."
