Portsmouth allay Primus injury fears

Portsmouth have confirmed veteran defender Linvoy Primus has not suffered a fresh injury setback.

The 34-year-old underwent knee surgery in May and was closing on a return to action when he complained of fresh pain.

However, after returning to see his specialist Primus has been given the all-clear.

"We were concerned that Linvoy might have aggravated the initial injury or got a new problem," said Pompey physio Gary Sadler. "But the specialist said there was nothing new to worry about.

"Hopefully it won't be too long before he's back training. He's feeling quite good and we hope he's training next week."
