Porto defender Bruno Alves has welcomed interest from Barcelona.

Aware that Barca will be following him in action for Portugal at this month's European Championships, Alves confessed: "I must seize this chance because I know that there are many teams that want me. I'm proud that a club like Barcelona is one of them.

"I have always thought highly of the Spanish Liga."
