Portland Timbers surpass 11,000 season ticket sales

The Portland Timbers today announced that the team has surpassed 11,000 season tickets sold for its inaugural Major League Soccer season in 2011.

With today's announcement, fewer than 1,000 season tickets remain as the club plans to cap season ticket sales at 12,000 for its inaugural season.

At this time, season tickets in 33 different seating sections are sold out for the inaugural MLS season. The sold-out seating sections include all five KeyBank Club sections (C1-C5), Sections 92-94, 97-98, SD1-SD6, 109-120, 209-211 and 222-223.

Seating availability in Sections 96, 99, 121, 215, 217-221 and the stadium's View Terrace sections is limited, with 90 percent or more of the majority of those sections sold at this time. Fewer than 500 season tickets remain in the Timbers Army sections (101-108, 201-208).

Additionally, all 23 Sunset Porsche Audi Suites have been sold on a multi-year basis.

Remaining season tickets for the Timbers' inaugural MLS season start at $18 per game and are available now for purchase by contacting a Timbers ticket representative at (503) 553-5555. Additional information and a helpful Virtual Venue feature can be found at www.portlandtimbers.com. The Timbers Virtual Venue feature gives fans the ability to simultaneously compare three-dimensional, 360-degree views from various seating sections and the opportunity to explore the exciting changes that will take place at PGE Park for the 2011 MLS season.

The Timbers make their 2011 home debut Thursday, April 14, as they play host to the Chicago Fire.
